What’s in the Box

  • Smith & Wesson Model 686 .357 Magnum®/.38 S&W Special +P Revolver

The Smith & Wesson Model 686 is a classic revolver with a full metal frame, cylinder and barrel. It has a capacity of 6 rounds and is chambered for the .357 Magnum and .38 Special +P cartridges. This double-action revolver features a 2.75 inch barrel, fixed sights, wood grips, an exposed hammer and blued finish.

The S&W Model 686 was originally introduced in 1980 as a stainless steel version of the classic Model 19 Combat Magnum with adjustable sights. In 1990 the Model 686 was introduced as a stainless steel version of the original K-Frame revolver design with fixed sights replacing adjustable ones on all models except for “Combat” models that retained adjustable sights. It was discontinued in 1999 but reintroduced in 2005 with slight cosmetic changes (such as rounded edges on certain parts) but still remaining true to its original form by retaining many internal parts unchanged from previous models.

The Smith & Wesson Model 686 .357 Magnum/.38 S&W Special +P Revolver is an ideal choice for home defense.

This revolver was designed by Smith & Wesson to be the most powerful handgun available, and it’s still one of the most popular options today.

The Model 686 comes in both .38 Special and .357 Magnum calibers, so you can choose the right caliber for your needs. Both calibers are great choices for self-defense at home because they offer plenty of stopping power and accuracy at close range.

The revolver also comes with a full-size grip that makes it easy to hold onto when firing multiple shots quickly or shooting from awkward positions. The large grip also helps prevent recoil from being too strong when firing heavier loads such as those used in hunting or target practice.
